Offers recommendations regarding the center’s programs, services, functions and issues related to child care. The council provides the technical expertise necessary to address issues that include quality and affordability of child care, proposed policy changes and long range planning for the ECEC.
Advises the chancellor on matters pertaining to environmental sustainability, goals, policies and practices at UC Merced. The committee promotes environmental stewardship and development based on ecological principals. Sustainability refers to the physical development and institutional operating practices that meet the needs of present users without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, particularly with regard to the use and conservation of natural resources.
Makes recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Business and Administrative Services in formulating policies and procedures related to UC Merced’s transportation and parking program. The board assists the TAPS director in developing procedures, programs and planning for the transit and parking units. This includes but is not limited to vehicles, bicycles, pedestrian traffic and the operations and services of CatTracks and county transit systems.
