Budget Office
The mission of the Campus Budget Office is to create and support an environment that advances our institutional mission of achieving distinction in education, research, and public service. The Campus Budget Office is committed to bringing rigor to budgetary decision-making and transparency to the budgetary process. Accordingly, in conjunction with Senior Management, Academic Schools and all support units, the Campus Budget Office guides the effective deployment of resources and promotes sound resource management in the prudent support of the University tri-partite mission.
The Budget Office is responsible for the daily operations and long range planning for campus budgets along with:
- managing the campus permanent budget
- providing accurate, timely, and meaningful budget and financial information to decision makers
- providing decision support through cost benefit analysis, data reporting, analyzing, and forecasting.
- providing professional advice regarding campus management in support of resource decision-making to departments
- recommending budget strategies to campus executive management in regard to efficient allocation and administration of campus resources
- guiding the annual budgetary process, assessing ongoing budget and planning issues, and establishing and monitoring controls over
- developing policies and procedures for the effective management of campus resources
- ensuring that campus budgetary policy and practice conform to Federal, State, and University regulations.
